Shrubland Street Community Primary School has a long history of being a school at the heart of a community that is diverse in its range of languages and cultures. Over the years the languages and countries represented by our children and their families has grown. This is a global trend in schools across the world where children from many backgrounds are learning together. At present we have 25 languages spoken by staff and children from over 20 different countries and this is expanding. Every one of the 6 major world religions is represented in our school. This is a global trend in schools across the world where children from many backgrounds are learning together. We see this as a positive with all children being able to learn from each other as they prepare for living and working in a multinational multicultural society.
