Pupil Premium is the funding our school receives to ensure children who have Free School Meals or are disadvantaged can access the curriculum and receive the support they need to ensure they make expected progress throughout their time at Shrubland Street. This money is allocated to the school but the school uses it in a variety of ways to ensure children become engaged and active learners.
Pupil Premium money is allocated according to the needs of individuals and groups of learners. It is monitored effectively and future grants are planned for, in relation to progress and attainment of children within the school.
The school monitors its effectiveness on a regular basis and through school data tracks the attainment of pupils from their various starting points. An annual report highlights how money is used and reports on the impact of the funding.
Sports Funding is the grant our school receives to ensure children can access a healthy, competitive and varied sporting curriculum and receive the support they need to ensure they engage with a healthy lifestyle throughout their time at Shrubland Street. This money is allocated to the school but the school uses it in a variety of ways to ensure children become engaged and healthy, active learners.
