Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.
At Shrubland Street Primary School we are big supporters of this initiative and wear our 'Dementia Friend' badges with pride. Our staff , along with children in Year 5 and Year 6 have attended 'Dementia Friend' training.
We have formed close links with the Brunswick Hub and we are keen supporters of their weekly 'Dementia' cafe.
If you want to know how you can become a 'Dementia Friend' or get involved with the work we are doing, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
