This year, aswell as teacher led activities, such as mindfulness trails, smoothie making, board games and book club, we also were lucky enough to have some special visitors.

Motionhouse dance company came into school to do a dance workshop with KS2, funded by the PTA. This was a great success and we hope to work with them again in the future.

We also had Mindful-Minis in at the beginning of the week who led mindfulness sessions with all of the children, covering yoga, meditation and much more.

This year we embarked on another 'Health and Wellbeing' week to once again promote the benefits of keeping our minds and bodies healthy. 

Although we dedicated this week to it, we have have really raised the profile of 'Health and Wellbeing' at Shrubland Street since the Covid pandemic started. 

Classes are regularly having midfulness breaks and everyone is even more aware about the importance of looking out for each other and providing opportunities to just be in the moment.
