Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional funding that our school receives to raise the attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils. The funding supports disadvantaged pupils to close the attainment gap between themselves and their peers.
Funding is allocated on the number of pupils who are eligible for Free School Meals at any point in the last school year. Children-in-Care (CIC) are also eligible for funding.
Shrubland Street Primary School is fully comitted to ensuring the best possible learning outcomes for our pupils, especially the most vulnerable.
Pupil Premium funding is tailored by the school to support identified pupils in a range of ways that meet their individual needs. A detailed breakdown of the use, effectiveness and impact of the funding can be found below.
We recognise that not all children from disadvataged backgrounds necessarily qualify for the Pupil Premium. In our community there is often minimal difference between those who qualify and those who do not. We are therefore committed to best provision for all pupils regardless of their dis-adavantaged or non-disadvantaged status, however we are careful to use our funding sources appropriately.
